It means that up to and including mediation, if we don't achieve a financial settlement for you, you pay nothing. If we do win, our fee is 33.33% + GST of the settlement amount — taken from the settlement itself, not from your pocket. For cases that proceed beyond mediation to the Employment Relations Authority, a different fee structure applies, which we'll explain in full before proceeding. There are never any surprise charges.
You have 90 days from the date of dismissal or the action you're grieving to raise a personal grievance with your employer. After that, it becomes much harder to pursue. If you're unsure, contact us today — don't wait.
Employment advocates are specialists in employment law and practice. We can represent you in mediation and before the Employment Relations Authority — the same forums as lawyers — but often at far lower cost, and in our case, on a no-win no-fee basis.
